'Tis The Season

Can you believe that just several weeks ago we celebrated Thanksgiving, and now we are only a few days away from Christmas. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year where we exchange gifts with our family and loved ones in honor of the true meaning of the season, the birth of Christ Jesus and the ultimate gift that he gave us through his life.

With 2019 soon coming to an end, now is a great time to reflect on all the blessings that we have received during the year and look toward what life will bring in the new year and decade. I am looking forward to positive and life changing things happening in 2020, but today, I want to take the time to celebrate someone who means the world to me; my mother. Today is her 83rd birthday, and I feel so blessed to have her in my life. She is in good health, sound mind, and has an amazing spirit. I thank God for loaning her to me and my family for all these years, and I cherish each moment that I spend with her. She is one of the greatest blessings that I have ever received.

In every message that I write in my blog, I like to make the connection of the impact that we have on children’s lives. Both of my parents instilled in my siblings and me the importance of being loving and encouraging to kids. They not only spoke of this, but they lived it every day with how they loved and supported us, our extended family, and friends. I can only hope that we carry on their same sweet spirit with the people that we meet along the way, and that we have a positive impact on their lives.

I hope that in this holiday season, your gift giving goes beyond Christmas Day, and that you carry the spirit of the season with you every day and everywhere that you go throughout the year.

Happy Holidays and see you next year!

Kimberly
